Project overview

In November 2025, Newdesy completed a repeat order of 300 K-TEK-A343-MTB-DWP stainless steel industrial keyboards for a long-term customer in Europe. The keyboards were intended for visitor-facing terminals installed at scenic attractions, where members of the public would use them directly on site.

This application required more than a conventional office keyboard. The input device needed to support frequent daily operation, public access and the cleaning and moisture exposure commonly associated with semi-outdoor or sheltered public terminals.

Why the K-TEK-A343-MTB-DWP was selected

The customer continued with this established keyboard platform because it combines the functions needed for a public terminal in one durable assembly.

The metal keys and front plate are well suited to unattended or high-traffic installations where durability, cleanability and resistance to accidental liquid exposure are important.

Batch production and delivery

As a repeat order for an existing European customer, the project focused on maintaining a consistent approved configuration across all 300 units. The completed keyboards were packed in production batches and prepared for shipment in November 2025.

The order demonstrates how a proven industrial keyboard platform can move from initial project validation to repeat volume supply without changing the customer's terminal design.

Application value for scenic attractions

Public terminals at tourist attractions may be used for visitor information, interactive exhibits, wayfinding, ticket-related services or other self-service functions. A stainless steel keyboard with an integrated pointing device reduces the number of separate components that must be installed and maintained.

For the operator, the result is a robust input interface designed for frequent public interaction. For the visitor, the familiar keyboard layout and integrated trackball provide a straightforward way to navigate the terminal.

Project note: The IP65 rating applies to the rated exposed face of the keyboard in the specified configuration. Final enclosure protection depends on correct panel installation, sealing, cable routing and the design of the complete terminal.
